This tea was a surprise.
On the nose the dry leaf smells dry chocolate.
The flavor starts off bright and clear like butter scotch. This light sweet flavor has a dark chocolate finish that matches the aroma.
This tea shouldn't be as good as it is.
Its from the West Mountain of Dong Ting, an area famous for Bi Luo Chun green tea. This tea uses Bi Luo Chun varietals and was made, at least in part, by Bi Luo Chun makers. The flavors, chocolate, are what many red tea makers would call "flaws". Nothing about this tea should work.....but it does.
