This is the same variety pack that is the focus of this round of subscription.
This round of subscriptions we are focusing on Xiao Cai Cha, little veggie tea.
Little veggie refers to tea made from trees that are seed planted. Because they come from seeds and not cutting they are not a single variety and the have a bigger range of flavors. This pack includes three Xiao Cai Chas.
Pack includes four servings of each tea, 60g in total.
1. Bai Mu Dan Little Veggie
This is a good representation of most Little Veggie Teas. It is a mix of bud and leaf but is very leaf heavy. That being said the buds and leaves are both very small, hence the little in little veggie. It is vegetal and full with a bit of a creamy flavor. This Little Veggie is a competition winner.
2. Little Veggie Silver Needle, 2020.
This is a rarer picking of little veggie. Most little veggies are a leafier pick, but they can be a bud only. The flavor has a similar roughness as with the Bai Mu Dan picking but is softer and lighter. The aging has given this tea some caramel notes.
3. Little Veggie Red.
Little veggie outdates modern cultivars so it goes with out saying that it out dates the white tea market emersion. So many little veggie trees were made for red tea. This red tea is one of my favorites. Its rich and flavorful with a lot of texture.
