I have bought from Dylan a few times before, and was always impressed with the offerings. I decided to try the subscription mystery box to the tune of $50 every other month. The first shipment arrived with six teas, four available on the shop: old tree gong mei, 2018 sugarcane mu dan, apple pie rou gui, and coffee liqueur shui xian; as well as two Wuyi oolong packets, so called "true cliff" and "non-true cliff" oolong to compare. Packaging was secure and nothing arrived damaged. The attached photo is of the old tree gong mei, probably the most beautiful presentation of tea I have seen. Delicious, to be sure, but almost a shame to unbundle and cut down to size to actually brew. I really like the variety included, especially the comparison between the two "cliff" oolongs. As I'm not really an oolong aficionado, this is exactly the sort of thing I'm looking to get in a subscription to learn something. For what it's worth I liked the non-true cliff oolong a bit more. It had an intense returning sweetness and produced a lot of saliva. They were both a real treat, though, the kind of tea you have every day until it's gone. Of all the subscriptions I have come across, this is my favorite. Buying from Dylan comes with a special human touch that I don't think you can find anywhere else.
